Ordinance 19-1508 — Amending the Official Zonina Designation for the Property Located at 2610 S. US Highway 17-92 (ZB 19-03� The City Clerk read Ordinance 19-1508 by title, as follows: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN CHAPTER II, ARTICLE IV, SECTION 2-4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; AMENDING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM CG (COMMERCIAL GENERAL) TO PMX-MID (PLANNED MIXED-USE: MEDIUM RISE) FOR THE APPROXIMATELY 1.88 -ACRE PARCEL LOCATED AT 2610 S. U.S. HIGHWAY 17-92, CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: Planner I Christina Hyson stated that Ordinance 19-1508 amends the Official Zoning Map from CG (Commercial General) to PMX (Planned Mixed -Use: Medium Rise) for the property located at 2610 S. U.S. Highway 17-92 consisting of approximately 1.88 acres. Notification was provided to the surrounding property owners within 500 feet and written notice was posted on the subject property on December 19, 2018. The Planning and Zoning Commission, serving as the Local Planning Agency (LPA), voted unanimously at its February 13, 2019 meeting to recommend approval of the amendment to the City Commission. The request to amend the Official Zoning Map from CG (Commercial General) to PMX- MID (Planned Mixed -Use: Medium Rise) for the subject property is consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and the existing MTMU (Major Thoroughfare Mixed -Use) Future Land Use designation; compatible and consistent with the adjacent land uses and zoning districts; and City services are available at the subject property and will not be negatively impacted. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval of Ordinance 19-1508 on first reading. Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Ordinance 19-1508. MOTION: Commissioner Busch moved to approve Ordinance 19-1508 on first reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. B.
