CASSELIIEI2RY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of January 28, 2019 — Regular Meeting Page 12 of 12 • Commented that he is looking forward to seeing how the recently installed C1ick2Gov software improves and streamlines the permitting and inspection processes. • Commended staff on being proactive in code enforcement matters. • Attended the Police Department Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January IV'. • Expressed appreciation to Recreation staff for continuing to pursue grants to fund park improvements. • Encouraged everyone to attend the upcoming public meetings relating to parks. • Reminded everyone of some upcoming events, including Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar on February 8t1, and March 8t", the Spring Jazz and Art Festival on March 211d and the Mardi Gras Music Festival and the Mardi Paw Paw -rade on March 9th. • Advised that the monthly Healthy Initiative for February would focus on youth sports. • Advised that AARP Foundation Tax Aide Program will be providing tax return preparation assistance at the Casselberry Recreation Center for low to moderate income taxpayers. • Expressed appreciation to staff for keeping the City Commission informed of ongoing projects and the many programs being provided for the citizens. • Advised that the City would again be recognizing the South Seminole Middle School "Hurricane Shake" finalists just prior to the next City Commission meeting on February I It". Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia — Seat No. 1: • Reported he will be helping to facilitate Arts and Culture Day for Leadership Seminole at the Casselberry Art House on Friday, February 111 Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5: • Reported she also had attended the Police Department Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January 17t1' 18.
