Community Redevelopment Agency Minutes
December 10, 2018
In response to the Board's question regarding any financial implications once the boundary is determined,
Mr. Newlon said that is not known at this time but he didn't expect it to be material if there is any.
Mr. Newlon explained that the City pays TIF based on a calculated number based on the tax base of the
defined area of the CRA, which constitutes an assortment of many parcels of land. He said that number is
determined by an exercise done by the Property Appraiser's office. He said of the 22 parcels referenced in the audit,
the City believes that those 22 parcels were within the boundaries but not labeled by Seminole County Property
Appraiser's office; therefore, not counted. Mr. Newlon said those parcels were identified during the 2004 audit.
Mr. Newlon said that when the CRA was formed and the boundaries were defined, there were a few parcels
on the south end of the City that were found and identified that should have been in the CRA but that may not be part
of the legal definition. He said those parcels have been labeled by the Property Appraiser's office as CRA and
therefore, the parcels have been counted and funded. He said that the City wants to make sure there is an accurate
legal description for the CRA boundaries.
Ms. Glancy asked for a motion regarding funding the CRA boundary surveying services. Mr. Meadows
made a motion to approve the CRA boundary surveying services for the sum of $3,980 as presented. Mr. Busch
seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
Sixth Item: Other Business.
There was no other business.
Seventh Item of Business: Public Comments.
There were no public comments.
Eighth Item of Business: Adjournment.
There being no further business to come before the Board, Ms. Glancy adjourned the meeting at 4:18 p.m.
DATE MINUTES APPROVED BY COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
Joni ixon, Secretary
