Future Agenda Items <br />No items were presented for consideration. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported that the group had met on Thursday, November 15`I' and shared information about <br />discussions and information presented at the meeting, which included the following: <br />- Still working on the 436 Transit Corridor Study for LYNX; <br />- Information about changes to I-4 during construction such as on and off ramp closures and <br />openings, etc. can be accessed on the I-4 Ultimate website at https:Hi4ultimate.coin/. <br />- The top four legislative priorities for Metroplan are: <br />o Increase funding to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety awareness programs and <br />bicycle pedestrian facility improvements; <br />o Advocate for changes in legislation that make texting while driving, or distracted <br />driving a primary offense; <br />o Seek funding for implementation of quiet safety zones along the SunRail corridor <br />Phase 11 South; <br />o Seek flexibility in the use of local option discretionary taxes such as charter county and <br />regional transportation system surtax and local government infrastructure surtax since <br />funding is down for the State of Florida, resulting in funding also being down for all <br />regions for transportation needs. <br />C. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO)Report <br />No report. <br />D. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />Mayor Glancy had no report, but Commissioner Hufford gave a brief update on the County Economic <br />Development class he had attended which included both development and environmental protection <br />elements. <br />E. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />No report. <br />
