Resolution 18-3054 — Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police Collective <br />Bargaining Agreement <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 18-3054 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, RATIFYING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A COLLECTIVE <br />BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE FLORIDA <br />STATE LODGE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Acting Human Resources and Risk Management Director Natasa Cacija gave a brief <br />overview of Resolution 18-3054, which approves the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City <br />of Casselberry and the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police (FOP)for the term beginning October <br />1, 2018 and ending September 30, 2021, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of <br />the City. <br />The City of Casselberry employees police officers, corporals and sergeants who have been represented by <br />the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) since September 2, 2015. The current Collective <br />Bargaining Agreement (CBA) expires September 30, 2018. The collective bargaining and negotiation <br />process between the City and the FOP concluded on July 12, 2018. On July 19, 2018, the FOP held a vote <br />of its membership which approved ratification of the proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). <br />With the ratification from the Union, the proposed CBA is being provided to the City Commission for <br />ratification, which authorizes implementation of the agreement. The proposed CBA includes several <br />changes and provides an overall mutually beneficial exchange of provisions while also meeting the strategic <br />goals of the City.
