CASSCLBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of September 10, 2018 — Regular Meeting Page 15 of 16 Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: • Congratulated both Commissioner Aramendia and Vice Mayor Meadows on their re-election to the City Commission, and thanked them for the great job they had done and would continue to do for the citizens of Casselberry. • Commented that over the years the City had tried various Commission meeting times and citizen attendance and participation had been about the same no matter the meeting time. • Stated that from her conversations with residents she felt people as a whole were happy with the direction the City was moving and recognized the improvements that had been made in the past several years. • Advised that today was Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year 5779, and wished everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous new year. • Stated it was bittersweet for her to be nearing the end of her term as a City Commissioner, and she wished to thank the residents for allowing her to serve, and the staff and the other Commissioners for their hard work and support. Commissioner Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: Congratulated staff on the success of both the Swing "Fore" the Arts Golf Tournament on Friday, August 31st, and the Latin Jazz and All Festival on Saturday, September lsr Congratulated Vice Mayor Meadows and Commissioner Aramendia on their successful re- election to another four years serving on the City Commission. Attended his second class for Leadership Seminole on Friday, September 7"', which was Government Day, and stated it had been very interesting and informative. Vice Mayor Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 Thanked everyone who had supported him in his bid for re-election, stating he was looking forward to serving the citizens of Casselberry for another four years. Congratulated Commissioner Aramendia for winning a hard-fought race for re-election, and thanked his opponent Mr. Neil Landgrebe for his graciousness and his willingness to continue to be an active participant what the City is doing as it moves forward. Stated he would like to see more participation and input from citizens about what direction they would like to see the City take. Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5: • Congratulated Commissioner Aramendia and Vice Mayor Meadows on their re-election, stating she was grateful for their continued willingness to serve. • Also congratulated Mr. Landgrebe on his hard work on his campaign and for his willingness to run and to be an active participant in the City. • Thanked all staff who had worked to make the Latin Jazz and Art Festival such a great success.
