CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD <br />The City of Casselberry Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at <br />6:30 p.m. in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />1. Call to Order <br />Chairman Melissa Holmes called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />Chairman Melissa Holmes led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />3. Roll Call <br />Board Members Present: <br />Melissa Holmes, Chairman <br />Katy Farmer <br />Dana Callan <br />Courtney Icenhower <br />Board Members Absent: <br />LeAnn Nash —Absent (Excused) <br />Linsey Lallathin —Absent (Excused) <br />Staff Members Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Joanne Duncan, Recording Secretary <br />4. Approval of Minutes — May 8, 2018 <br />Member Farmer made a motion that the minutes be approved as amended and Member Icenhower <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously 4 -0. <br />5. Items for Discussion: <br />Ms. Moore briefly discussed about Master Plan Focus Group Workshops held on October 4 and <br />Octobber 25, 2018 where participants expressed an interest to host some smaller events at other <br />parks besides Lake Concord and Secret Lake Park to introduce residents to the variety of amenities <br />at other park locations. With the newly Tennis/Pickleball and basketball courts at Lake Hodge, <br />staff was looking for ideas to create a new event to showcase the renovations. Member Icenhower <br />mentioned that the renovations have definitely improved Lake Hodge.She also said that hosting <br />events at the smaller parks would help to pull the communities together and that the activities <br />should be held for children. <br />
