AH 'b@
Applied Hydrogeologic Solutions LLC
August 8, 2018
Mr. Chris Bowley
Communications Development Director
City of Casselberry
95 Triplet Lake Drive
Casselberry, FL 32707
RE: Proposal to Conduct One (1) Quarterly Groundwater Sampling Event and
Conduct Closure Activities for the City of Casselberry City Center Site (Former
Shell Station)
FDEP Facility ID 59/8516519
Change Order #6
Dear Mr. Bowley
This letter and the accompanying revised cost proposal are in response to the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) review of the May 2018 Quarterly
Groundwater Monitoring Report for the subject facility, dated July 6, 2018, and in
response to recent discussions with Chris Bowley, the new Communications
Development Director. As summarized in the review letter, which is attached, FDEP is
requiring two (2) additional quarterly sampling events before they can consider the site
for a Low Score Site Initiative (LSSI) conditional NFA. However, they are willing to
reduce the number of wells requiring analytical testing from five (5) to just two (2), and
only require semi-annual reporting.
Provided below is a summary of the technical items that need to be completed for the site
to be eligible for closure in two (2) quarters of monitoring, along with the associated
schedules and costs.
This proposal covers the second monitoring event, scheduled to take place in November
2018. Also provided are the costs to close the site after approval from FDEP using the
LSSI option. (These costs are the same as they were in a previous proposal sent to your
office on December 11, 2017, which is also attached). Comparison of the former proposal
with this one shows the extent to which the sampling costs given below have decreased
by the reduction of the number of wells requiring analytical testing.
Applied Flydrogeologic Solutions LLC
6216 NW 43`d Street, Gainesville, Florida 32653
Telephone 352-214-0903 Email 'hirschLMahsflorida.com
