CASSCLBGRRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 27, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 of 18 <br />Introduction: Resolution 18-3049 approves the Agreement and duties of the School Resource Officer <br />(SRO) at South Seminole Middle School for the 2018-2019 school year between the City of Casselbei y <br />and the Seminole County School Board, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Agreement for and on <br />behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br />Budget Impact: The revenue from Seminole County for half (50%) of the School Resource Officer's <br />salary and benefits in the amount of $39,989 will be deposited as it is received into the General Fund SRO <br />revenue account #001-0000-337.20-01. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of Resolution 18-3049. <br />F. Resolution 18-3050 — Residential Solid Waste Rate Adjustments <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF A RATE ADJUSTMENT FOR FUEL IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH THE PIGGYBACK AGREEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE <br />COLLECTION WITH WASTE PRO OF FLORIDA, INC.; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 18-3050 approves a rate adjustment payable to Waste Pro for residential solid <br />waste collection, increasing the base rate per home per month from $13.40 to $13.57 for regular and special <br />collection services and from $26.80 to $27.14 for side -door collection services, based on fuel inflation data <br />provided by Seminole County. <br />Budget Impact: Sufficient funding in the amount of $8,066.16 is available in FY 2018 Solid Waste Fund <br />Other Contractual Services account #118-0730-534.34-00. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of <br />Resolution 18-3050. <br />G. Agreement with Annan Landscape Company LLC for Lot Clearing Services <br />Introduction: Consideration to award and execute an agreement with Annan Landscape Company, LLC <br />for lot clearing services in an annual amount not to exceed $30,000 is requested. (RFP -2018-0380) <br />Budget Impact: Under the terms of the Agreement for RFP -2018-0380, as listed in Section 4, <br />Compensation, the not to exceed amount for services rendered by Annan Landscape Company, LLC is up <br />to $30,000 annually, and up to $90,000 for the three (3) one-year terms of the Agreement. The pricing <br />schedule is included as Exhibit "B" to the Agreement that will be used to determine billing rates per Annan's <br />staff. The terms of the use of the Agreement and renewal periods are at the sole discretion of the City and <br />annual appropriation of funds by the City. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of the agreement with Annan Landscape, LLC for lot clearing services in an a mount not to exceed $30,000 <br />annually. <br />
