CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 27, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 17 of 18 <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Approvals Information Report for the Period July 1 2018 through <br />July 31, 2018 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Approvals Information Report for the month of July 2018 was <br />contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information <br />about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />• Attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the academic campus of the Geneva School on <br />Saturday, August 25". Thanked Mayor Glancy and Commissioner Hufford for <br />representing the City at the ceremony. <br />• Reminded everyone that the City election would be held on Tuesday, August 28"', wished <br />Commissioner Aramendia luck in his bid for re-election, and recognized Commissioner <br />Solomon for her many contributions to the City as she completes her third and final term <br />of office as a City Commissioner. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Also thanked Commissioner Solomon and stated she would be missed. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />• Clarified that Commissioner Solomon would remain in her seat until the new <br />Commissioner for Seat 3 was sworn in. <br />• Announced for the record that the City Election would be held on Tuesday, August 28"' in <br />conjunction with the State Primary Election, and all polling precincts would open from <br />7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Anyone who doesn't know where to vote may contact the City <br />Clerk's Office on Election Day or visit www.voteseminote.org to find a list of the polling <br />places according to address, in addition to candidate information. The ballot will list the <br />candidates for Seats 1 and 3 only, as Seat 2 has already been decided due to Vice Mayor <br />Meadows having been unopposed. Per City Charter, the newly elected Commissioners <br />will be sworn in either before or at the next regular City Commission meeting on September <br />I0", and that meeting date will be posted on-line and on the City's bulletin board when it <br />is determined. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />No report. <br />
