C. "Girls In Government" — May 13, 2018. Ms. Williams stated that it is an issue
in a few of the lakes. She stated that there is a new product that she was
recently trained to use, Procellacor, that is not on the market yet, but it will
be in a few months. Ms. Williams explained that the contractor will
consistently continue to treat this with the current products and rotate with
new herbicides as they become available. Mr. Blais then asked about the fish
screens. Ms. Williams said that she has requested estimates from a few
companies and she is expecting to have these in place in the fall. He stated
that the residents are reporting to him that a lot of carp is going over the weir
at Lake Kathryn. Chairman Lasure asked about the current algae status in
Secret Lake. Hydrilla is densely growing along the shoreline and has topped
out due to lack of rain. Chairman Lasure also stated that there is an area
within that canal that is shallow, and asked if it can be deeper. Ms. Williams
stated that it is not a planned project, nor something that was included in the
Storm Water Masterplan. If you can get enough residents that are concerned
about the canal's depth, they should submit a formal request. She suggested a
list of signatures be submitted.
6.
