CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 13, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 of 15 <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br />I. Mr. Glen Weatherholtz, 36 Carriage Hill Circle, expressed concerns about road striping and <br />speeding issues in the Carriage Hill community. <br />2. Ms. Dori Sutter, 234 Morton Lane, Winter Springs, voiced concerns about the glare from the <br />lighting on the sports fields at the Geneva School and how it was affecting the adjacent <br />properties. <br />3. Mr. Andrew Schuster, 524 Queens Mirror Circle and Ms. Cathy Farrar, 522 Queens Mirror <br />Circle, proposed placing a "Little Free Library" (take -a -book, leave -a -book program) between <br />their homes for residents to share their books. She asked for direction from the City as to how <br />to proceed and was advised by Mayor Glancy to speak with Community Development <br />Department staff about what the requirements would be. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Emergency Purchase of a Replacement Pump for the Seminola Master Lift Station <br />Staff Presentation: City Manager Randy Newlon advised the City Commission of the need for ernergency <br />purchase of a replacement pump for the Seminola Master Lift Station in the approximate amount of $20,000 <br />due to failure of one of the two permanent pumps. A budget amendment to set aside funds for this capital <br />purchase will be brought to the City Commission for consideration at the August 27°i regular City <br />Commission meeting. <br />Budget Impact: Funds to cover purchase of the replacement pump are available in the FY 2018 Budget <br />in the Lift Station's Repair and Maintenance Emergency Account #401-0752-535.46-05 and will be <br />transferred to the proper capital account through a future Budget Amendment. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager recommended City Commission review of the report for the <br />emergency purchase of a replacement pump for the Seminola Master Lift Station in the amount of <br />$20,372.40. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />
