CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 13, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 15 <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF THE <br />FUTURE LAND DESIGNATION FROM INDUSTRIAL (I) TO COMMERCIAL (C) FOR <br />THIRTY-FIVE (35) PARCELS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY 4.5 ACRES GENERALLY <br />LOCATED AT 910, 920 AND 930 BELLE AVE. AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS <br />ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Planner I Christina Hyson gave an overview of Ordinance 18-1493 which amends the <br />Future Land Use Map designation from Industrial (1) to Commercial (C) for thirty-five (35) properties <br />generally located at 910, 920 and 930 Belle Avenue. Notification of the proposed Future Land Use Map <br />amendment was provided to the surrounding property owners within 500 feet and the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission, serving as the Local Planning Agency (LPA), voted unanimously at its July 11, 2018 meeting <br />to recommend approval of this amendment to the City Commission. The request to amend the Future Land <br />Use Map from Industrial (I) to Commercial (C) for the subject properties is consistent with the City of <br />Casselberry Comprehensive Plan, consistent and compatible with adjacent land uses and zoning districts, <br />and City services are available at the subject properties and will not be negatively impacted. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of Ordinance 18-1493 on first reading. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Ordinance 18-1493. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Ordinance 18-1493 on first <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />B. Ordinance 18-1494 — Amending the Zoning Designation for Properties along elle <br />Avenue (Z13 18-04) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 18-1494 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN CHAPTER II, ARTICLE IV, <br />SECTION 2-4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; AMENDING THE <br />ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM I (INDUSTRIAL) TO CS (COMMERCIAL SERVICE) FOR <br />THIRTY-FIVE (35) PARCELS GENERALLY LOCATED AT 910, 920, AND 930 BELLE AVE, <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; <br />PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Planner I Christina Hyson gave an overview of Ordinance 18-1494 which amends the <br />Official Zoning Map designation from I (Industrial) to CS (Commercial Service) for thirty-five (35) <br />
