Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency <br />February 14, 2018 <br />Page 7 <br />To clarify a Commissioner's comment, Ms. Hanna said currently medical marijuana is not smokable. She <br />said there is currently a lawsuit pending because they want medical marijuana to be smokable. <br />Mr. Henson asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, <br />the request. No one came forward. <br />Mr. Henson asked for a motion to address LPA 18-01. Mr. Phillips made a motion that the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission recommend approval of LPA 18-01 and hereby extend a temporary moratorium of ninety -days <br />prohibiting the operation of Medical Marijuana Treatment Center Dispensing Facilities including Attachment A. Mr. <br />Bakalla seconded the motion. The motion passed with a majority vote with Mr. Lutz casting the dissenting vote. <br />Twelfth Item of Business: Other Business. <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Chief Planner, stated that Mr. Randy Woodruff, Community Development Director, has <br />resigned. A brief discussion ensued regarding ex parte communication and adding deceleration lanes for large <br />projects such as Wawa. <br />Thirteenth Item of Business: Adiournment. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Henson adjourned the meeting at 7:41 p.m. <br />Date Minutes Approved by Planning and Zoning Commission: / /-'/', <br />Joni Dixo�� ecretary <br />
