Planning & Zoning Commission/ Local Planning Agency Minutes March 14, 2018 Page 6 After a brief discussion, Mr. Henson asked for a motion to address LPA 18-04. Mr. Van Meter made a motion that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval of LPA 18-04 and hereby amend the Unified Land Development Regulations to regulate Pharmacies and Medical Marijuana Dispensaries including Attachment A. Mr. Bakalla seconded the motion. The motion passed with a majority vote with Ms. Hufford and Mr. Phillips casting the dissenting votes. Ninth Item of Business: LPA 18-06: Comprehensive Plan Zoning Text Amendment. Text amendment to the Comprehensive Plan related to the Industrial and Major Thoroughfare Mixed -Use Future Land Use designations. Ms. Emily Hanna, Chief Planner, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated March 14, 2018, and a PowerPoint presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the PowerPoint presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes). Ms. Hanna said staff requests that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval of LPA 18-06 and hereby amend the City's Comprehensive Plan. A brief discussion ensued regarding the number of industrial future land use parcels within the city. Ms. Hanna reviewed the Future Land Use map showing Industrial Medium parcels and Industrial parcels. She said that the Future Land Use Industrial parcels would require a rezoning to Industrial Medium if the associated uses wanted to take place. She said there are very strict requirements for the Industrial Medium zoning and some of the parcels would not qualify for that zoning. Mr. Henson asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, the request. No one came forward. Mr. Henson asked for a motion to address LPA 18-06. Mr. Hale made a motion that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval of LPA 18-06 and hereby amend the City's Comprehensive Plan including Attachment A. Mr. Van Meter seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. Tenth Item of Business: Other Business. There was no other business. Eleventh Item of Business: Adjournment.
