Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency Minutes <br />March 14, 2018 <br />Page 6 <br />After a brief discussion, Mr. Henson asked for a motion to address LPA 18-04. Mr. Van Meter made a <br />motion that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval of LPA 18-04 and hereby amend the Unified <br />Land Development Regulations to regulate Pharmacies and Medical Marijuana Dispensaries including Attachment A. <br />Mr. Bakalla seconded the motion. The motion passed with a majority vote with Ms. Hufford and Mr. Phillips casting <br />the dissenting votes. <br />Ninth Item of Business: LPA 18-06: Comprehensive Plan Zoning Text Amendment. Text amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan related to the Industrial and Major Thoroughfare Mixed -Use Future Land Use <br />designations. <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Chief Planner, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated March 14, <br />2018, and a PowerPoint presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the <br />PowerPoint presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes). Ms. Hanna said staff requests that the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval of LPA 18-06 and hereby amend the City's Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the number of industrial future land use parcels within the city. Ms. <br />Hanna reviewed the Future Land Use map showing Industrial Medium parcels and Industrial parcels. She said that <br />the Future Land Use Industrial parcels would require a rezoning to Industrial Medium if the associated uses wanted <br />to take place. She said there are very strict requirements for the Industrial Medium zoning and some of the parcels <br />would not qualify for that zoning. <br />Mr. Henson asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, <br />the request. No one came forward. <br />Mr. Henson asked for a motion to address LPA 18-06. Mr. Hale made a motion that the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission recommend approval of LPA 18-06 and hereby amend the City's Comprehensive Plan including <br />Attachment A. Mr. Van Meter seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Tenth Item of Business: Other Business. <br />There was no other business. <br />Eleventh Item of Business: Adjournment. <br />
