CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD <br />The City of Casselberry Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held a regular meeting on Tuesday, December 12, <br />2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />1. Call to Order <br />Vice Chairman Melissa Holmes called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />Vice Chairman Melissa Holmes led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />3. Roll Call <br />Board Members Present: <br />Melissa Holmes, Vice Chairman <br />Courtney Icenhower <br />Dia Nordstrom <br />Nancy Valentine (arrived at 7:04 p.m.) <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Ana VanMeter, Chairman (excused) <br />Staff Members Present: <br />Randy Newlon, City Manager <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Joanne Duncan, Recording Secretary <br />4. Approval of Minutes — October 10, 2017 <br />Member Icenhower requested the minutes be corrected to reflect under Board Member reports that <br />she was the one that reported the damaged fence on the southwest corner of Sunnytown Park. <br />Member Nordstrom made a motion that the minutes be approved as amended to reflect the <br />correction and Member Icenhower seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously 4 -0. <br />5. Items for Discussion: <br />Ms. Moore stated that there will be four recommendations to the City Commission for the questions <br />that resulted from the November 15, 2017 City Commission/Parks and Recreation Advisory Board joint <br />meeting. Ms. Moore noted that each recommendation would need a separate vote. <br />1. Recommendation to the City Commission to make it a priority to acquire additional park land <br />when it becomes available, affordable and feasible. <br />Ms. Moore briefly discussed the deficiency in the level of service acreage and that the City was built <br />out. City Manager Randy Newlon provided additional comments. <br />2 <br />
