CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD <br />The City of Casselberry Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at <br />6:30 p.m. in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />1. Call to Order <br />Chairman Melissa Holmes called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />Chairman Melissa Holmes led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />3. Roll Call <br />Board Members Present: <br />Melissa Holmes, Chairman <br />Dana Callan <br />Courtney Icenhower <br />Katy Farmer <br />Kinsey Lallathin <br />Staff Members Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Joanne Duncan, Recording Secretary <br />4. Approval of Minutes —April 10, 2018 <br />Member Icenhower made a motion that the minutes be approved as written and Member Lallathin <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously 5 - 0. <br />5. Items for Discussion: <br />a. Memorial Benches — Linda Moore briefly discussed the proposed memorial bench program for <br />those that wish to commemorate an event or loved one. For uniformity and quality purposes, the <br />memorial benches will be similar to the Victor Stanley model that is currently at Lake Concord Park. <br />Bench locations will be in public and park spaces and based on need and space available. Total cost <br />for each memorial bench (includes freight, shipping, concrete pad and installation) will be $2500. <br />Member Icenhower made a motion that the Memorial Bench program be recommended to the <br />City Commission and Member Farmer seconded. Motion passed unanimously 5-0. <br />6. Staff Reports: <br />Ms. Moore announced that the Earthfest Event on April 28th was the largest so far and it drew a <br />favorable response from the community.
