CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of November 20, 2017 — Special Meeting <br />Page 10 of 14 <br />2. Ms. Katie McGlynn, 213 Secret Way, also voiced concerns about the safety of residents <br />and pets and urged the City Commission to pursue stricter restrictions and penalties <br />regarding dangerous animals. <br />3. Ms. Cindy McGlynn, 213 Secret Way, also shared details of the attack which she <br />experienced with her sister-in-law Donna Syracuse, and urged the City Commission to <br />pursue changes in the law on state, county and local levels regarding regulation of <br />dangerous animals. <br />4. Ms, Susan Bowden, 423 E Street, also voiced concerns about the dog attack and was in <br />support of urging the City to pursue changes in the law which could possibly prevent any <br />other attacks. <br />5. Ms. Annamarie Breen, 213 Secret Way, also expressed concern about the dog attack and <br />spoke in support of urging the City to pursue changes in the current laws regarding <br />dangerous animals. <br />6. Mr. Chris Robertson, 304 Secret Way Circle, also voiced concerns about the dog attack <br />and fears that a child could potentially be a future victim. <br />7. Mr. Gary Robison 111 N Triplet Lake Drive, shared a recent experience he had with <br />dangerous dogs in the Secret Way area and expressed concerns about the dangerous <br />situation that existed. <br />8. Ms. Fern Spencer, 238 Oakwood Drive, voiced concerns about the dangerous dog issue <br />and also the issue of advertising flyers being left in driveways which decompose and are <br />washed into the City's drainage system polluting the water and sewer systems. <br />9. Mr. Austin Lasure, 229 Secret Way, also voiced concerns about the dangerous dog problem <br />and asked that action be taken by the Commission. <br />10. Ms. Joann Goodhope, Deer Run, shared experiences she had with her own dogs being <br />attacked by dangerous dogs who had gotten out of a fenced yard and expressed concern for <br />the situation in Casselberry. <br />11. Ms. Sandy McGlynn, 265 Secret Way, stated she was the sister of the owners of Reese, <br />and expressed concerns that the same dog owner had previous dogs which had attacked a <br />lady and were euthanized. She voiced her concern that the same issue was happening with <br />a different set of dogs and stated that something needed to be done to avoid another tragedy. <br />She expressed that she was proud of her sisters for taking action to try and get the laws <br />changed. <br />12. Ms. Rita Franz, 209 Secret Way, shared information she had about the attack on Reese and <br />other people and dogs in the neighborhood, and expressed the same concerns earlier <br />expressed about safety in the Secret Way community. <br />13. Ms. Sharon Rutherford, 300 Secret Way Circle, shared an experience she had with the same <br />dogs that attacked Reese, and expressed concerns about safety from the dogs in the <br />neighborhood, stating she had to alter her lifestyle to avoid these dogs. <br />14. Mr. Robert Phillips, 251 South Triplet Lake Drive, spoke in support of Donna and Katie <br />and added his concerns to those earlier expressed regarding the need for more restrictions <br />and requiring accountability from dog owners. <br />Petitions were submitted to City Clerk Donna Gardner for the record. <br />15. Ms. Debra Dennis, 728 Whispering Oaks Circle, Longwood, shared some experiences she <br />had with dangerous dog attacks and voiced concerns about the attack that had taken place <br />on Reese. <br />
