Award of Bid for Meter Reading Services to US Water Services Corporation ITB - <br />2017 -0234) <br />Introduction: Consideration to award the bid and approve a contract with U.S. Water Services Corporation <br />for Meter Reading Services effective January 1, 2018 in an amount not to exceed $550,000 over a three- <br />year term is requested. The initial contract term is three (3) years, expiring December 31, 2021, with two <br />(2) additional one year renewals when in the best interest of the City. (Reference: ITB -2017-0234) <br />Budget Impact: Funds have been appropriated in the FY 2018 Adopted Budget in the Water and Sewer <br />Fund/Meter Service Contractual Services account #401-0135-513.34-00. Appropriations beyond FY 2018 <br />will be included in the budgetary adoption process each fiscal year for the first three (3) years. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval to award the <br />contract for meter reading to U.S. Water Services Corporation in an amount not to exceed $550,000 for a <br />three-year term beginning on January 1, 2018. <br />E. Award of Contracts for Continuing Transportation Planning and Engineering <br />Services (SOQ-2017-0225) <br />Introduction: Consideration to award four (4) separate contracts for continuing transportation planning <br />and engineering services on a task authorization basis at an estimated expenditure not to exceed $2,000,000 <br />per contract for the period beginning December 11, 2017 through December 10, 2022, to the following <br />firms is requested (Reference: SOQ-2017-0225): <br />- HDR Engineering, Inc. <br />- Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. <br />- Kittelson & Associates, Inc. <br />- Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval to award <br />four (4) separate contracts for continuing transportation planning and engineering services on a task <br />authorization basis to: 1) HDR Engineering, Inc., 2) Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., 3) Kittelson & <br />Associates, Inc., and 4) Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. at an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 per contract <br />and simultaneously authorize the City Manager's approval of Task Authorizations up to $50,000 as per the <br />City Purchasing Policy. Task Authorizations higher than $50,000 as well as the two (2) one-year renewals <br />will be submitted to the City Commission for approval. <br />
