BA #17-043 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for purchase of a telephone system through SHI to include equipment, maintenance (5 years), labor and software upgrades in the amount of $100,861.55 plus additional budgetary authorization of $4,138 for unanticipated costs. Account Number Account Description Amount Increase: 302-0000-389.90-00 Other Non -Operating Source $105,000 302-0151-513.67-35 Equipment—Other $105,000 Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval to purchase the telephone system upgrade and new telephones from SHI International Corp as well as approval of related Budget Amendment #17-043 G. Agreement with Sara Brady Public Relations, Inc. (RFQ20150005CI) Introduction: Consideration of additional language to the agreement with Sara Brady Public Relations, Inc., which is currently in effect through July 9, 2018 for the provision of professional public relations, marketing and consulting services, is requested. (Reference: RFQ20150005CI). Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget. Recommendation: The City Manager recommended approval of the agreement with Sara Brady Public Relations, Inc. H. Application for FY17/18 U.S. Department of Justice COPS Grant Introduction: Participation in the COPS grant application through the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $434,622 for designated use for the enhancement and continuation of the Casselberry Police Department's mission to work in partnership with the community to protect life and property, solve neighborhood problems and enhance the quality of life in the City is requested. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget at this time. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to participate in the grant application for $434,622 to be filed with the U.S. Department of Justice.
