RESOLUTION 18-3007 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE EXISTING INTERAGENCY CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND COMPUTER SUPPORT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office presently has the benefit of access to the Florida Criminal Justice network (CJNet), National Crime Information Center (FCIC), the Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC), and the Interstate Identification Index (III), all hereafter referred to as FCIC, via network connectivity to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE); and WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office has developed sophisticated law enforcement software which is presently in use by other law enforcement agencies and criminal justice agencies and is supported and maintained by the Sheriff's Office staff on a seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day basis; and WHEREAS, the Casselberry Police Department has determined that it is advantageous to accept this amendment to the contractual agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office to allow additional data sharing as listed in Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the first amendment to the agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff s Office for interagency criminal justice computer software services and support, as set forth attached hereto as Exhibit A, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
