RESOLUTION 18-3007 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST <br />AMENDMENT TO THE EXISTING INTERAGENCY CRIMINAL <br />JUSTICE AND COMPUTER SUPPORT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S <br />OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office presently has the benefit of access to <br />the Florida Criminal Justice network (CJNet), National Crime Information Center (FCIC), the <br />Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC), and the Interstate Identification Index (III), all <br />hereafter referred to as FCIC, via network connectivity to the Florida Department of Law <br />Enforcement (FDLE); and <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office has developed sophisticated law <br />enforcement software which is presently in use by other law enforcement agencies and criminal <br />justice agencies and is supported and maintained by the Sheriff's Office staff on a seven (7) days <br />per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Police Department has determined that it is advantageous <br />to accept this amendment to the contractual agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff's <br />Office to allow additional data sharing as listed in Exhibit A. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the first <br />amendment to the agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff s Office for interagency criminal <br />justice computer software services and support, as set forth attached hereto as Exhibit A, and <br />authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
