Resolution 17-2994 — Legislation in Progress Re ag rding Static Signs <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />RECOGNIZING AND CONFIRMING LEGISLATION IN PROGRESS REGARDING SECTION <br />3-16.8(B)(7) OF THE UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, TO INCREASE THE <br />NUMBER OF SMALL STATIC SIGNS PERMITTED ON A PREMISES FROM TWO TO THREE; <br />PROVIDING FOR LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS; RECOGNIZING LEGISLATION IN PROGRESS; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 17-2994 recognizes and confirms that legislation is in progress to adopt <br />amendments to Section 3-16.8(B)(7) of the Unified Land Development Regulations to state that "a premises <br />is allowed a maximum of three static LED signs no more than 4.5 square feet with photocells that display <br />a maximum of four characters", instead of limiting one premises to two such small signs. Staff is directed <br />not to issue any permits or approve applications for building permits, development orders or other land use <br />activity within the City of Casselberry which would conflict with the pending amendments. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of Resolution 17-2994. <br />E. Budget Amendment #18-001 — Purchase of Ancillary Equipment for Police <br />Department Vehicle <br />Introduction: Consideration of Budget Amendment #18-001 to provide budgetary authority to purchase <br />ancillary equipment in the amount of $7,356 to fully equip a Police Department vehicle is requested. <br />Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #18-001 will increase the General Fund/Police <br />Department Machinery and Equipment/Vehicles account #001-0610-521.67-22 and the Other Non - <br />Operating Sources account #001-0000-389.90-00 in the amount of $7,356. <br />BA # 18-001 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for ancillary <br />police department vehicle costs for a replacement vehicle in the amount of $7,356.
