Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />No report, but Mayor Glancy shared that Government Day which had been cancelled due to Hurricane Irma <br />had now been rescheduled to April of 2018. <br />D. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />City Manager Randy Newlon reported that the meeting had consisted primarily of discussions relating to <br />Hurricane Irma and each of the cities' experience with the storm and subsequent cleanup efforts. <br />E. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County(CALNO) Report <br />Vice Mayor Aramendia reported that the meeting had taken place at the Seminole County School Board <br />offices and the presentation had been on the EPathways program which provides the students participating <br />in the program with both a broad understanding of careers and enough exploration of specific interests to <br />have a clear plan for their future when they graduate from high school. He also reminded the Commission <br />that the City of Longwood had withdrawn membership from CALNO due mainly to the length of the <br />meetings, and he shared that other discussions at the meeting had been about each member organization's <br />experiences with Hurricane Irma and about how each was handling the medical marijuana issue. <br />A. Resolution 17-2995 — Contract for Purchase and Sale of S. Lost Lake Lane, Parcel <br />ID 09-21-30-5BO-OA00-001C, and Related Budget Amendment #18-008 <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 17-2995 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING A CONTRACT <br />FOR PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT BETWEEN JOHN N. CASSELBERRY AND THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT S. LOST LAKE LANE, <br />PARCEL ID #09-21-30-5BO-OA00-00IC; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: City Manager Randy Newlon gave a brief overview of Resolution 17-2995, explaining <br />that the purpose of the resolution was for consideration of a contract to purchase a parcel of property <br />approximately 3.36 acres in size which fronted South Lost Lake Lane and was located just north of Hole <br />Number 8 of the golf course. He advised that the acquisition of the property would expand the City's <br />presence in that area; would cure some encroachment which had been expanding over the years of the City's <br />
