CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of Jame 12, 2017 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 11 of 17 <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 17-1458 <br />was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, June 1, 2017. <br />Staff Presentation: Chief Planner Emily Hanna advised that Ordinance 17-1458 provided for amendments <br />to the City's Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR) relating to signs, and reminded the Commission <br />that she had presented the proposed changes to the Commission at first reading. She stated there had been no <br />changes to the ordinance since first reading on May 8, 2017. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and questions <br />regarding Ordinance 17-1458. No one came forward to address Ordinance 17-1458. Mayor Glancy closed the <br />public hearing relative to Ordinance 17-1458. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended adoption of <br />Ordinance 17-1458 on second reading. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to adopt Ordinance 17-1458 on second and final <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />C. Second Reading of Ordinance 17-1459 — Amending the City Unified Land <br />Development Regulations, Chapter II, Article VII, General Regulations, Section 2-7.9 <br />Accessory Structures (LPA 17-02� <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 17-1459 by title as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 2-7.9, <br />ACCESSORY STRUCTURES, OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES, PART III, UNIFIED LAND <br />DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, TO ADD LANGUAGE TO ALLOW ACCESSORY <br />STRUCTURES IN EASEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 17-1459 <br />was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, June 1, 2017. <br />Staff Presentation: Chief Planner Emily Hanna advised that if adopted Ordinance 17-1459 would amend the <br />City's Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR) to allow accessory structures within easements <br />provided the applicants obtained letters of no objection from all affected utility providers. She stated that no <br />changes had been made to the ordinance since first reading on May 8, 2017. <br />In response to a question from Vice Mayor Aramendia, City Clerk Donna Gardner advised that Ordinance 17- <br />1457 pertained to the City's Comprehensive Plan and was currently being reviewed by the State of Florida. <br />She stated it would come back to the Commission for second reading and adoption sometime in the fall of <br />2017. <br />
