CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of February 13, 2017—worksbop <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />Agreement between the City and the Seminole County School District; the City's aging housing stock and the <br />availability of federal, state or local grants to help address that issue; redevelopment of under-utilized <br />properties along the US Highway 17-92 and State Road 436 corridors; and the proposed implementation <br />timeline and the transmittal process to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (FDEO) for the <br />updated Comprehensive Plan. Ms. Ghioto advised that she hoped to bring the proposed update to the City <br />Commission by November of 2017 and to issue a complete final report in early 2018. <br />Mr. Woodruff concluded by advising that the first oftwo public workshops would be held at SecretLake Park <br />on March 18, 2017 in order to get input and buy -in from citizens to ensure that everyone is on the same page <br />going forward with revisions to the Comprehensive Plan. He stated that would be followed by gathering all <br />the information and coming back to the Commission sometime in late April of 2017 for approval to submit the <br />transmittal to the FDEO. He noted that staff had been working on this since June of 2016 with all the various <br />City departments and the consultant to move the process forward to this point. <br />Mayor Glancy thanked Dr. Hawkins, Ms. Ghioto and City staff for their presentations and input. <br />4. CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />The following individuals came forward to address the Comprehensive Plan Update and Evaluation & <br />Appraisal Report (EAR): <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, expressed some concerns about statistics he <br />had heard which identified the City of Casselberry as a high crime area. <br />No one else came forward. <br />5.
