Future Agenda Items
Commissioner Meadows raised the issue of looking into budgeting for additional generators to power all ofthe
lift stations rather than rotating generators in the event of a major storm event and widespread power outages
such as was experienced with Hurricane h -ma. Mr. Newlon advised that staff would need to explore how to
phase in the purchase of generators which could be distributed system -wide to be used in such events and
would be bringing recommendations to the Commission by way of future budget amendments. Commissioner
Solomon noted that the City of Winter Park had fewer widespread power outages due to underground power
lines and suggested that the City of Casselberry may want to look into that option at some point in the fixture.
B.
