ORDINANCE 17-1462 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA; REPEALING AND REPLACING <br />CHAPTER 60, PARKS AND RECREATION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br />TO CLARIFY CONFLICTS AND DUPLICATIONS <br />WITH PARKS RULES; PROVIDING FOR <br />CODIFICATION; CONFLICTS; SEVERABILITY; <br />AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 60, Parks and Recreation, and Resolution 06-1717, provide <br />guidance for the administration, operation, and management of all City owned parks and <br />recreational areas; and <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Golf Club was recently purchased by the City of <br />Casselberry ("City"); and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 16-1854 adopted on May 9, 2016, the City <br />Commission designated the Casselberry Golf Club as a "City Park"; and <br />WHEREAS, the operation of the Casselberry Golf Club must now be reflected within <br />the City's codes and policies relative to the park system; and <br />WHEREAS, additional conflicts and duplication exist between the current Chapter 60, <br />Parks and Recreation, and the policies, procedures and rules governing the operation of City <br />parks; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to amend its Code of Ordinances to resolve <br />said conflicts and duplication and to update its general regulations governing park facilities and <br />use; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that this ordinance will preserve the City of <br />Casselberry park facilities for long-term use; promote recreational opportunities for the <br />
