indicate that text shall remain unchanged from the language existing prior to adoption of this <br />Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recitals. The foregoing recitals are hereby fully incorporated herein by <br />this reference as legislative findings and the intent and purpose of the City Commission of the <br />City of Casselberry. <br />Section 2. Amendment of Section 68-29. That Section 68-29, "Location of Utility <br />Instillations" of Division 1, "Generally" of Article II, "Construction Affecting Streets, Rights -of - <br />Way or Easements" of Chapter 68, "Roadway and Utility Construction" of the City Code of <br />Ordinances, is hereby amended as follows: <br />Sec. 68-29. - Location of utility installations. <br />(a) The primary concern in the design and location of utility <br />installations is protection of the rights-of-way and the safety of the <br />highway user, and, in all cases, full consideration shall be given to sound <br />engineering principles and economic factors. <br />(b) Where possible, all longitudinal underground utility facilities <br />should be placed outside of six feet of the traveled way. <br />(c) The proposed location of poles, fire hydrants, water meters and the <br />like should take into consideration future road widening, sidewalk, storm <br />drainage or other construction. Minimum side lines for roadside recovery <br />areas are as shown in the State Department of Transportation state <br />ao,,.,,.tmet + ef+,..,,,s,,. rtat; , Manual of Uniform Minimum Standards for <br />Design, Construction, and Maintenance for Streets and Highways, as <br />amended Appen4ix-M. Deviations require approval by the City Engineer. <br />(d) Water meter boxes shall not be placed within the limits of a <br />proposed or existing sidewalk. <br />(e) Fire hydrants shall be located in accordance with the requirements <br />of the Seminole County Fire Department Appendix E to this n ftie, <br />whieh is available fe inspeetion at the effiees „f the Gity.
