II, "Administration and Enforcement" of Chapter 82, "Traffic and Vehicles" of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 82-55. - Citation procedure. <br />(a) Except when authorized or required to immediately take a person arrested <br />for a violation of a City law or City traffic ordinance, or the traffic offense <br />exempted in F.S. § 318.17, into custody, a police officer, upon charging a person <br />for violation of the state traffic law or of a City law or City traffic ordinance, shall <br />take the violator's name, address and license number, and issue to him, in writing, <br />a citation provided by the Police Chief, requiring him to answer the charge at a <br />time and place fixed. In cases of traffic infractions, the violator shall be required <br />to respond as required by F.S. ch. 318. The officer shall issue a copy of the <br />citation to the person charged, and shall submit the original and all copies of the <br />citation to the records unit of the Police Department. <br />SECTION IV. Amendment of Section 82-71 of the City Code. That Section 82-71 <br />"Issuance of citations" of Division 3, "Enforcement of Parking Regulations" of Article II, <br />"Administration and Enforcement" of Chapter 82, "Traffic and Vehicles" of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 82-71. - Issuance of citations. <br />Oa Whenever any motor vehicle without a driver is found parked, stopped or <br />standing in violation of any of the restrictions imposed by state law or regulation <br />of the City in the incorporated areas of the City, the Police Department, finding <br />the vehicle, shall take its registration number and may take any other information <br />displayed on the vehicle which may identify its user, and shall conspicuously <br />affix to the vehicle a traffiean rkina citation or summons in writing for the driver <br />to answer the charge against him within 72 hetes fourteen (14) business days, <br />during the hours and at a place specified in the citation or summons. <br />
