He added that the car burglary problem mentioned earlier in the meeting was not <br />peculiar to the City of Casselberry but was also happening in other jurisdictions, and he would <br />bring new information about the issue and possible solutions to the Commission as it was <br />received. <br />Thanked the Commission for its support of the Talisman Trail from Oxford Road to U.S. <br />Highway 17-92 which was approved as part of the Consent Agenda approved earlier in the <br />meeting. He advised that staff would be studying the feasibility of adding skate elements to <br />the North/South segment as discussed earlier in the meeting and recommended by the <br />Commission. <br />Announced for the benefit of the public that with the re -opening of Triplet Lake Drive, the <br />City's events would be moving back to Lake Concord Park beginning with the Art & Music <br />in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar event on Friday, February 10, 2017. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />Congratulated the reappointed board members and the newly appointed board members, and <br />thanked them for their volunteerism and service to the City of Casselberry. <br />Commissioner Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />Stated he would not be able to attend the Police Department awards ceremony on January 26, <br />2017; however, he encouraged Chief Krantz to continue recognizing the accomplishments of <br />the Police Department staff. <br />Commended Sgt. Hennessey for his presentation to members of the Orlando Chinese <br />Evangelical Church in Casselberry for the purpose of introducing American policing culture <br />to Chinese immigrants new to the country who are working toward obtaining U. S. citizenship. <br />He encouraged the Police Department to continue reaching out to the community in this way. <br />
