CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 23, 2017 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 14 <br />through January 31, 2019. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to appoint Ms. Melissa Holmes to the Parks & <br />Recreation Advisory Board for a first full term, term effective through January <br />31, 2019. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to appoint Ms. Courtney Icenhower to the Parks <br />& Recreation Advisory Board to fill the unexpired term created by the <br />resignation of Ms. Daphne Keys, term effective through January 31, 2018. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Meadows. <br />Discussion: A brief discussion ensued regarding which boards had alternates and which did not and how that <br />was determined, and also what processes would be involved in changing the current board makeup for the <br />various boards. The Commission agreed by consensus that the makeup of the various volunteer boards was <br />something that should definitely be a discussion in the very near fixture and they directed the City Manager to <br />have staff look into what changes to the City Code would be needed. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />Lakes Management Advisory Board <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to reappoint Mr. Paul Blais and Ms. Laura <br />Hatton to the Lakes Management Advisory Board, each for a first full term, <br />effective to January 31, 2019. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Meadows. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to appoint Mr. Marc Taylor to the Lakes <br />Management Advisory Board to a first full term, term effective to January 31, <br />2019. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Meadows. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Meadows moved to appoint Mr. Clifford Lasure and Mr. Jason <br />McDonald to the Lakes Management Advisory Board, filling the unexpired <br />terms created by the resignations of Leslie Yates and Melissa Holmes, effective <br />to January 31, 2018. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />Ms. Gardner advised that the applications for those applicants who were not selected would be kept on file for <br />the remainder of the calendar year and automatically resubmitted should any vacancies occur for any board <br />they had requested. <br />
