CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of March 27, 2017 —Regular Meeting Page 12 of 12 Mr. Newlon requested clarification from the Commission regarding direction to staff relating to the issue of lighting in the area at the end of Triplet Lake Drive where trees, landscaping and up -lighting had been installed as part of the Signature Streets project. After discussion, it was the consensus of the Commission to direct staff that the hours for access to the "park" should be from sunrise to sunset and noted as such on signage at the site; that the lighting should be set to turn off at 9:00 p.m. year-round; and that the City Code should be researched regarding regulation or prohibition of up -lighting to see whether there was a need to amend the ordinance, and their findings reported back to the Commission. Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: • Congratulated Community Development Director Randy Woodruff on his appointment and urged him to continue the same great job he has been doing as Interim Director. Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: Reported he had attended both the Spring Garden Party on Saturday, March 18, 2017 and the Spring Jazz & Art Festival on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Lake Concord Park and both were great events. Stated he had received many compliments on improvements being made in the City, noting that everything is looking great. Mayor Charlene Glancy — Seat No. 5: • Requested that staff look into the issue regarding mowing times at the golf course. • Stated she had heard good things about the Spring Garden Party that was held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Lake Concord Park. • Reported that she and her husband had attended and really enjoyed the Spring Jazz & Art Festival on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
