CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of March 27, 2017 —Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 12 <br />Mr. Newlon requested clarification from the Commission regarding direction to staff relating to the issue of <br />lighting in the area at the end of Triplet Lake Drive where trees, landscaping and up -lighting had been installed <br />as part of the Signature Streets project. After discussion, it was the consensus of the Commission to direct staff <br />that the hours for access to the "park" should be from sunrise to sunset and noted as such on signage at the site; <br />that the lighting should be set to turn off at 9:00 p.m. year-round; and that the City Code should be researched <br />regarding regulation or prohibition of up -lighting to see whether there was a need to amend the ordinance, and <br />their findings reported back to the Commission. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />• Congratulated Community Development Director Randy Woodruff on his appointment and urged him <br />to continue the same great job he has been doing as Interim Director. <br />Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Reported he had attended both the Spring Garden Party on Saturday, March 18, 2017 and the Spring <br />Jazz & Art Festival on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Lake Concord Park and both were great events. <br />Stated he had received many compliments on improvements being made in the City, noting that <br />everything is looking great. <br />Mayor Charlene Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />• Requested that staff look into the issue regarding mowing times at the golf course. <br />• Stated she had heard good things about the Spring Garden Party that was held Saturday, March 18, <br />2017 at Lake Concord Park. <br />• Reported that she and her husband had attended and really enjoyed the Spring Jazz & Art Festival on <br />Saturday, March 25, 2017. <br />I E:\ 1� : ► 1/ D <br />There being no further business, Mayor Glancy adjourned the meeting at 6:22 p.m. <br />DATE MINUTES APPROVED BY CITY COMMISSION: <br />
