Resolution 16-2913-B —Amendment #1 to the Construction Agreement Between the <br />City of Casselber7y and Murphy Pipeline Contractors, Inc. for Construction of the <br />Dommerich Hills Pipe Bursting Project Phase 2 <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 16-2913-B by title as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT 41 TO THE CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND MURPHY PIPELINE CONTRACTORS, INC. <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE DOMMERICH HILLS PIPE BURSTING PROJECT PHASE 2; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Acting Water Resources Manager Tara Lamoureaux gave a brief overview of Resolution <br />16-2913-B, explaining this project was the second phase of the City's Dommerich Hills pipe bursting project. <br />She advised that this would replace an additional 2 1/2 miles of pre-existing potable water asbestos cement <br />pipeline that was approximately 50 to 60 years old and was reaching its maximum age. She added that the pipe <br />bursting method was being utilized to minimize restoration because it is a heavily suburban area. She advised <br />that staff had received positive feedback from the residents affected by Phase 1 of the project which also <br />utilized the pipe bursting method. She stated that Phase 2 had been included in the first solicitation; however <br />funding was not available at that time. She added that Phase 1 has now been wrapped up and funding is <br />available as part of the fiscal year 2017 budget for wrap-up of the project and staff is hoping to move forward. <br />Budget Impact: Funding was provided in the FY 2017 budget in the Water and Sewer Distribution and <br />
