CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of October 10, 2016 — Regular Meeting Page 4 of 14 Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution 16-2912-B. C. Resolution 16-2914 — Agreement with Seminole State College for Use of Public Safety Training Complex "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND SEMINOLE STATE COLLEGE FOR THE USE OF THE SEMINOLE STATE COLLEGE PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING COMPLEX; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 16-2914 approves the agreement with Seminole State College for the use of their Public Safety Training Complex at a rate of $2,067 for fiscal year 2016-2017, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Budget Impact: Funds for this expense have been provided in the FY 2017 General Fund/Police Department Training account 4001-0610-521.55-00 in the amount of $2,067. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of Resolution 16-2914. D. Budszet Amendment #17-001— Recognition of Grant Proceeds for the Purchase of a Two Camera Automatic License Plate Reader/Rapid Deployment System Introduction: Consideration of Budget Amendment #17-001 to recognize grant proceeds of $11,470 awarded for the purchase of a two (2) camera automatic license plate reader/rapid deployment system is requested. Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #17-001 will increase the General Fund Justice Assistance Grant 2016 -DJ -BX -0930 account #001-0000-331.22-11 and the Small Tools and Minor Equipment/2016-DJ- BX-0930 account #001-0610-521.56-11 in the amount of $11,470 in each account. BA #17-001 Explanation of Request: Based upon City Commission approval and the subsequent award, the Casselberry Police Department will purchase a two (2) camera automatic license plate reader/rapid deployment system under the approved project titled: "Mobile License Plate Reader Initiative", award #2016 -DJ -BX -0930. This budget amendment will increase accounts in the Police Public Safety/Law Enforcement division and recognize the grant revenue in account 001-0000-331.22-11. There is no impact to the general fund.
