CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of September 8, 2016 — Special Meeting Page 4 of 5 1 SOLUTION 1 1 0 RECOGNITIONOF D ' D PUBLIC SERVICE MAYOR/COMMISSIONER COLLEEN S. ,' D "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, IN RECOGNITION OF DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, SEMINOLE COUNTY AND THE ENTIRE CENTRAL FLORIDA COMMUNITY BY VICE MAYORWOMMISSIONER COLLEEN S. HUFFORD." Mayor Glancy read Resolution 16-2910 in its entirety, after which she presented the original Resolution and a plaque to former Vice Mayor Colleen S. Hufford, formally recognizing and expressing appreciation for her twelve years of dedicated service on the City Commission. MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution 16-2910, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. Former Vice Mayor Hufford introduced her family members who were in attendance and shared some of her experiences, the City's accomplishments and a few anecdotes from her years of service, also expressing some of her vision for the City and goals she hopes the Commission will continue to pursue for the betterment ofthe City of Casselberry. She expressed appreciation to her family for their support over the years, especially her husband Bill, and to the Commission for working with her through the years to accomplish good things for the City. She encouraged the Commission to continue working to get what is best for the citizens of the City of Casselberry. Each of the Commissioners expressed their appreciation to former Vice Mayor Hufford for her service and stated they had enjoyed serving with her. 7. ELECTION OF INTERIM VICE MAYOR Introduction: Nomination(s) and election of a Commissioner to serve as Interim Vice Mayor, pursuant to City Charter Section 4.05 is requested. Mayor Glancy nominated Commissioner Aramendia to serve as Interim Vice Mayor. Commissioner Meadows seconded the nomination. MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to select Commissioner Anthony Aramendia to serve as Interim Vice Mayor, term effective to December 12, 2016. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Meadows. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0.
