CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 8, 2016 — Special Meeting <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />Casselberry Charter Amendment 6 <br />Yes 2,469 Votes (88.08%) <br />No 334 Votes (11.92%) <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve certification of the election results <br />for the August 30, 2016 City Election. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Solomon. Motioned carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />5. SEATING OF NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS <br />A. Oath of Office — Commission Seat No. 4 — Bill Hufford <br />The following oath was administered to Bill Hufford by the City Attorney: <br />"I, Bill Hufford, do solemnly swear that I will support, protect, and defend the Constitution and <br />Government of the United States and of the State of Florida; and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of <br />Casselberry; and that I am duly qualified to hold office under the Constitution of the State; and that I will well <br />and faithfully perform the duties of Commissioner of the City of Casselberry, Florida, on which I am about to <br />enter, so help me God." <br />The Oath, as administered, was signed by Commissioner Hufford and affirmed by the City Attorney, and is <br />attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />B. Oath of Office — Mayor/Commission Seat No. 5 — Charlene Glancy <br />The following oath was administered to Charlene Glancy by the City Attorney: <br />"I, Charlene Glancy, do solemnly swear that I will support, protect, and defend the Constitution and <br />Government of the United States and of the State of Florida; and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of <br />Casselberry; and that I am duly qualified to hold office under the Constitution of the State; and that I will well <br />and faithfully perform the duties of Mayor/Commissioner of the City of Casselberry, Florida, on which I am <br />about to enter, so help me God." <br />Mayor Glancy stated she was honored to serve the City of Casselberry as Mayor and expressed appreciation to <br />family, friends, and community leaders who were in attendance. <br />The Oath, as administered, was signed by Mayor Glancy and affirmed by the City Attorney, and is attached to <br />and made a part of these minutes. <br />
