CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 22, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 8 of 17 <br />Budget Impact: There is no immediate budget impact due to the adoption of the Multimodal Transportation <br />Master Plan (MTMP). However, it will be used as the basis for planning future City Budgets and Budget <br />Amendments as needed to follow the programming plan. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />16-2901, which formally adopts Connecting Casselberry: The Casselberry Multimodal Transportation Master <br />Plan. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Resolution 16-2901. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution 16-2901, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />C. Resolution 16-2902 — Adoption of Complete Streets Policy and Design Guidelines <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 16-2902 by title as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING A COMPLETE STREETS POLICY AND DESIGN GUIDELINES; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer Kelly Brock gave a brief overview of <br />Resolution 16-2902 and explained that although the Complete Streets Policy and Design Guidelines were <br />already contained in the Master Plan just adopted by the City Commission, the organization called Smart <br />Growth America scores Complete Streets policies, and one of their requirements is that it be passed as a <br />separate resolution. He added that this was simply a formality and he had pulled the City's Complete Streets <br />Policy and Design Guidelines out separately so it would hopefully be eligible within the next year to be scored <br />by Smart Growth America. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />16-2902. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Resolution 16-2902. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve Resolution 16-2902, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon.
