Budget Amendment #16-061 — Additional Funding for Casselbeny Golf Club Operating Bank Account Introduction: Consideration of Budget Amendment #16-061 to provide additional funding in the operating bank account for the Casselberry Golf Club (golf course) in the amount of $70,000 is requested. Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment # 16-061 will increase the following— in the General Fund: increase the Transfer to Fund 405 account #001-0190-581.91-45 and Other Non Operating sources account #001-0000-389.90-00 in the amount of $70,000; in the Golf Course Fund: increase Other Current Charges account #405-0410-572.49-00 and Transfer from Fund 001 account #405-0000-381.10-00 in the amount of $70,000. BA #16-061 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide the additional funding to maintain the Minimum Funds Balance in the bank account of the Casselberry Golf Club per the management contract between the City of Casselberry and Integrity Golf Company, LLC that was signed on June 8, 2015. Approval of this budget amendment provides budgetary authorization to transfer funds as needed up to a maximum of $70,000. Staff will only transfer additional funds to the golf course operating bank account if a need is identified through monthly reconciliation. H. Application for FYI 6/17 Edward Byrne Memorial Assistance Countywide Grant Introduction: Participation in a grant application through Seminole County for Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant funds in the amount of $124,010 for designated use by governmental agencies within Seminole County, including $15,501 by the City of Casselberry to purchase LIDAR speed measurement devices for a traffic safety initiative, is requested. Budget Impact: Upon receipt of the exact amount awarded to the City, a budget amendment will be brought back to City Commission to recognize the grant revenue and approve the necessary purchase. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to participate in the grant application for $124,010 to be filed and coordinated by Seminole County and the allocation of grant funds toward the Casselberry Police Department's LIDAR traffic safety initiative.
