CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 22, 2016 —Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 17 <br />D. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />Reported the group had met on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 and the agenda consisted of a general discussion <br />with no specific topic or presentation. She advised that both District School Superintendent Walt Griffin and <br />School Board Chairman Tina Calderone were present at the meeting and presented a summary of the grades for <br />the past school year, 2015-2016. She shared some of the information provided, noting that changes made <br />statewide had caused some schools to receive lower grades, and that those attended by Casselberry children <br />received C's and B's where previously they had been A schools. She added that there were plans to re -open <br />Longwood Elementary School after substantial renovations are made. <br />Both Mayor Glancy and Mr. Newlon shared that Seminole County is actively working on the mosquito issue to <br />prevent the Zika virus and other mosquito -borne diseases in the county. They noted that the use of chemicals <br />and a massive advertising campaign to educate citizens about removing standing water around their homes are <br />the major focus of the County's efforts at this time. Mayor Glancy shared a door hanger and informational <br />pamphlet that the County is utilizing in their efforts. <br />E. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />11. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Second Reading of Ordinance 16-1446 — Amendments to ULDRs Regarding P�MX- <br />MID and PMX-HIGH Zoning Districts <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 16-1446 by title as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES, PART III, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS SECTION 2-5.2 <br />PURPOSE AND INTENT OF ZONING DISTRICTS, TO ADD LANGUAGE FOR PMX-HIGH AND <br />PMX-MID ZONING DISTRICTS; AMENDING TABLE 2-5.4, SIZE AND DIMENSION <br />REGULATIONS, TO DECREASE THE MINIMUM LIVING AREA REQUIREMENTS FOR PMX- <br />
