CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of July 11, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 14 <br />MID (PLANNED MIXED USE: MEDIUM RISE) FOR PARCEL ID #28-21-30-300- <br />052C-0000 AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING <br />FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing for Ordinance 16-1444 was published in the <br />Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, June 30, 2016. <br />Staff Presentation: Development Services Manager Randy Woodruff stated that this was the second reading <br />of Ordinance 15-1444 which proposed to amend the Official Zoning Map designation for property located at <br />1385 State Road 436 from City of Casselberry CG (Commercial General) to City of Casselberry PMX-MID <br />(Planned Mixed -Use: Medium Rise). He advised that the proposed amendment was Compatible with the <br />Major Thoroughfare Mixed Use Future Land Use designation as provided in the City of Casselberry Unified <br />Land Development Regulations Table 2-4.2; Consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan; Compatible with <br />the surrounding mix of zonings and land uses; will improve the economic development of the area and will <br />increase property values. Mr. Woodruff further advised that no changes had been made to Ordinance 16-1444 <br />since it was approved on first reading at the June 13, 2016 Commission meeting. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended adoption of <br />Ordinance 16-1444 on second reading. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy opened the public hearing relative to Ordinance 16-1444. No one came <br />forward to address Ordinance 16-1444. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance 16- <br />1444. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to adopt Ordinance 16-1444 on second and final <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />
