CITY OF CASSELBERR _ CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARING DECEMBER 8, 2016 The City of Casselberry held its regular Code Enforcement hearing Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. Luis R. Guzman, Special Magistrate, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. SPECIAL MAGISTRATE Luis R. Guzman CITY STAFF PRESENT Mark Campbell, Lead Code Compliance Officer Brenda Jones, Code Compliance-Coordinator/Recording Secretary PLEDGE OF ALLIGIANCE The Special Magistrate led the Pledge of Allegiance. SWEARING IN OF THOSE IN ATTENDANCE The Special Magistrate swore in those who would testify. FORMAT FOR PROCEEDINGS The Special Magistrate read the format for proceedings. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Special Magistrate approved minutes from the October 13, 2016 hearing. STATEMENT OF EVIDENCE Mark Campbell, Lead Code Compliance Officer advised that all events occurred within the corporate limits of the City of Casselberry. The Officer's notes, case narratives, testimony, photographs, supporting documents and PowerPoint presentation were all entered as part of the official record. General maintenance, ULDR Section 3-10.3 CE -15-00042 250 Aurora Cir Mark Campbell, Lead Code Compliance Officer advised that case number CE -15-00042, violation address was 250 Aurora Circle, violation was for general maintenance; ULDR Section 3-10.3. The current fine amount was $3,300 ($50 per day). City recommendation was to reduce to the fine to $330.00. Administrative cost was $197.88 (paid at time of reduction request). The Building permit passed inspection on September 22, 2016. A fine was imposed on this property in 2016 for general maintenance. The City recommends a reduction to $330 which is 10% of the fine amount. There are several factors used to figure this recommendation. Due to this not being a lien the Special Magistrate can approve the recommended reduction. Page
