CITY OF CASSELBERF <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARING <br />AUGUST 11, 2016 <br />The City of Casselberry held its regular Code Enforcement hearing Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., in <br />the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. Luis R. Guzman, <br />Special Magistrate, called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. <br />SPECIAL MAGISTRATE <br />Luis R. Guzman <br />CITY STAFF PRESENT <br />Mark Campbell, Lead Code Compliance Officer <br />Brenda Jones, Code Compliance-Coordinator/Recording Secretary <br />Vivian Cocotas, City Attorney's office <br />PLEDGE OF ALLIGIANCE <br />The Special Magistrate led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />SWEARING IN OF THOSE IN ATTENDANCE <br />The Special Magistrate swore in those who would testify. <br />FORMAT FOR PROCEEDINGS <br />The Special Magistrate read the format for proceedings. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Special Magistrate approved minutes from the July 14, 2016 hearing. <br />STATEMENT OF EVIDENCE <br />Mark Campbell, Lead Code Compliance Officer advised that all events occurred within the corporate limits of <br />the City of Casselberry. The Officer's notes, case narratives, testimony, photographs, supporting documents and <br />PowerPoint presentation were all entered as part of the official record. <br />SUBSEQUENT CASES <br />Disabled, inoperable, unlicensed vehicles; ULDR Section 3-10.9 F <br />CE -15-01256 420 Kentia Rd <br />Mark Campbell, Lead Code Compliance Officer read the case history into record for case number CE -15- <br />01256. The property was found to be Non -Compliant on July 29, 2016 and August 10, 2016. The City requests <br />that the $50 per day fine be imposed. <br />The Special Magistrate described photos of a covered and partially cover vehicle and asked if the owner for 420 <br />Kentia Rd was present. There was no one present. <br />Nathan Johnson, 129 Pine Isle Dr, Sanford, FL advised he was the previous Code Compliance officer for this <br />case. The photo showed a vehicle that was covered up, there is no proof the vehicle was inoperable or <br />unsilenced. Mr. Johnson stated there was no real proof the vehicles were unlicensed or inoperable from the first <br />to the third picture. <br />11Page <br />
