A conditional <br />use request to construct a covered dock at 191 North Triplet Lake Drive. Parcel ID 09-21-30-507-OA00-0210 <br />Mr. Dean Fathelbab, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in staffs memorandum dated November <br />9, 2016, and a PowerPoint presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the <br />presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr. Fathelbab said staff recommends the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission approve CU 16-15 to allow a fixed and covered residential boat dock at 191 North Triplet Lake <br />Drive. He said staffs recommendation is based on the findings of fact and conclusions of the staff report dated <br />November 9, 2016, and the conditions of approval listed in the staff report. <br />Mr. Bryan asked the applicant to come forward. Mr. Clinton Biggers, 191 North Triplet Lake Drive, <br />Casselberry, Florida came forward. There were no questions for the applicant. <br />Mr. Bryan asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, <br />the request. No one came forward. <br />Mr. Bryan asked for a motion to address CU 16-15. Ms. Campbell made a motion that the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission approve CU 16-15 to allow a fixed and covered residential boat dock at 191 North Triplet Lake <br />Drive based on the findings of fact and conclusions of the staff report dated November 9, 2016, and the four (4) <br />conditions of approval outlined in the staff report including Exhibit A. Mr. Bakalla seconded the motion. The motion <br />passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Mr. Mike Caiazza, Specialty Marine Contractors, 229 Wood Lake, Maitland, Florida came forward. Mr. <br />Caiazza said that the City of Casselberry is the only municipality that requires a conditional use for a boat dock. He <br />said the city's ordinance should list the criteria needed for a dock and if that is met the City would issue the permit. <br />He said he has never had a boat dock denied. <br />Sixth Item of Business: CU 16.16: Conditional Use for a Dock at 546 Queens Mirror Circle. A conditional use <br />request to construct a fixed dock at 546 Queens Mirror Circle.
