Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency <br />June 15, 2016 <br />Page 6 <br />Mr. Dean Fathelbab, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in staffs memorandum dated June 15, <br />2016, and a PowerPoint Presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the <br />PowerPoint Presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr. Fathelbab said staff recommends that the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission provide a favorable recommendation to the City Commission for ZB 16-05 to <br />amend the Official Zoning Map from City of Casselberry PMX-H (Planned Mixed -Use: High Intensity) to PMX-MID <br />(Planned Mixed -Use: Medium Rise) for the subject property, based on the findings of fact and conclusions of the staff <br />report dated June 15, 2016, and the following findings regarding the rezoning: <br />1. The requested zoning amendment is consistent with the City of Casselberry Comprehensive Plan and the <br />existing Major Thoroughfare Mixed -Use Future Land Use Designation. <br />2. The requested zoning amendment is compatible with the surrounding mix of land uses and zoning districts. <br />3. City services are available to the subject property and will not be negatively impacted. <br />A correction was made to the agenda to read: "Amending the Official Zoning Map from C erGial <br />GeeeFal) PMX-H (Planned Mixed -Use High Intensity) to PMX-MID (Planned Mixed Use — Medium Rise)". <br />After a brief discussion regarding the impervious surface ratio requirements, Mr. Henson asked the <br />applicant to come forward. Ms. Tara Tedrew, Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, 215 North Eola Drive, <br />Orlando, Florida and Mr. Matt Femal, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., 655 North Franklin Street, Suite 150, Tampa, <br />Florida came forward. Ms. Tedrew said they are in agreement with staffs recommendations for approval of the <br />rezoning. <br />Mr. Henson asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, <br />the request. Ms. Bonnie Fisher -Pruitt, 1162 Carmel Circle, Casselberry, Florida came forward. In response to Ms. <br />Fisher-Pruitt's question, Ms. Hanna explained said new impervious surface calculations were completed and it was <br />determined that the property should be rezoned to PMX-MID (Planned Mixed Use — Medium Rise) to be compatible <br />with the MTMU Future Land Use designation. <br />Ms. Lucille Weinroth, 2685 Queen Mary Place, Maitland, Florida came forward. In response to Ms. <br />Weinroth's question, Mr. Henson stated there are no plans to change the current development. He said it is a <br />housekeeping issue. <br />
