The City of Casselberry Lakes Management Advisory Board held a meeting Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., in the Casselberry City Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, FL 32707 Appointed Board Members Present: Paul Blais Charles Fritch Brad Gonzalez Laura Hatton Melissa Holmes Appointed Board Members Absent: Leslie Yates Alan Moore Staff Members Present: Marissa Williams, Natural Resources Officer D. Denyse Wilson, Staff Assistant II (Recording Secretary) 1. Call to Order: Due to the absence of the Chairman, Ms. Leslie Yates and the Vice Chairman, Mr. Alan Moore, Board member Mr. Paul Blais volunteered to chair the meeting at 6:31 pm. Mr. Paul Blais made a motion for Mr. Gonzalez to serve as Chairman. Ms. Laura Hatton seconded. The motion carried unanimously. Ms. Laura Hatton made a motion for Ms. Melissa Holmes serve as Vice Chairlady. Mr. Charles Fritch seconded. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. Roll Call: D. Denyse Wilson completed the roll call. 3. Approval of Minutes: Mr. Charles Fritch made a motion to accept the LMAB meeting minutes of November 4, 2015 as presented. The motion was seconded by Ms. Melissa Holmes and carried by voice vote. 4. New Business A. Aquatic Plant Management Update: The City's managed lakes are in excellent condition since last year's full lake Sonar treatments. There will be upcoming perimeter contact herbicide treatments on Secret Lake and Lake Concord. The City has partnered with SePRO to field test a new herbicide they will be putting on the market. It is called Procellacor, and it is currently under an experimental use permit. The City was selected to use Grassy Lake as a site to monitor and test the herbicide's efficacy, free of charge. We will also garner publicity as the first and only site to use the product this calendar year.
