Planning & Zoning Commission/ <br />Local Planning Agency <br />March 9, 2016 <br />Page 2 <br />Fifth Item of Business: CU 16-03: 555 State Road 436 1 Life in Colors, Inc. Conditional use request to <br />operate a day care facility within the existing TIP de Vida Church. <br />Mr. Dean Fathelbab, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in staffs memorandum dated March 9, <br />2016, and a PowerPoint Presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the <br />PowerPoint Presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr. Fathelbab said staff recommends the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission approve CU 16-03 for a day care facility at the Church TIP de Vida property, <br />located at 555 State Road 436. He said staff's approval is based on the findings of fact and conclusions of the staff <br />report dated March 9, 2016, and the eleven conditions of approval outlined in the staff report. <br />Mr. Henson asked the applicant to come forward. Ms. Sonia Flores, 555 State Road 436, Fern Park, Florida <br />came forward. A brief discussion ensued regarding the pickup of the children after scheduled hours of operation and <br />the employee/child ratio. <br />In response to the Commission's question, Ms. Flores said she agrees with the eleven conditions of <br />approval outlined in the staff report. <br />Mr. Henson asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, <br />the request. No one came forward. <br />Mr. Henson asked for a motion to address CU 16-03. Mr. Phillips said based on the findings of fact and <br />conclusions of the staff report dated March 9, 2016 he recommended that the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />approve CU 16-03, subject to the eleven conditions of approval outlined in the staff report for the Church TIP de Vida <br />property, located at 555 State Road 436. Ms. Campbell seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by <br />voice vote. <br />Sixth Item of Business: CU 16-04: 2050 SR 436 Suite 116 1 Jamaican Cuisine Jerk Spot Restaurant. <br />Conditional use request to sell beer and wine, 2COP, at an existing restaurant located in the CG (Commercial <br />General) zoning district. <br />Mr. Dean Fathelbab, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in staffs memorandum dated March 9, <br />2016, and a PowerPoint Presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the <br />PowerPoint Presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes).
