She thanked staff and all those who had a hand in setting up the meetings.
Inquired whether Mr. Newlon had any information on the rooster problem she had brought to
his attention. Mr. Newlon advised he had referred the matter to Community Development on
Thursday, May 19, 2016 and had not yet had an opportunity to follow up with them as to
possible solutions.
Commented that she had noticed improvements in the way the City is looking and
commended code enforcement staff for their efforts.
Vice Mayor Colleen Hufford — Seat No. 4:
Reported she had attended the first of the two community meetings about the proposed Lakes
District and was also amazed at the attendance, especially considering the stormy night. She
stated she was pleased to hear positive comments about the golf course and the proposed
Lakes District. She thanked staff who worked on getting the meetings set up.
Congratulated Mayor Glancy on her re-election to another term as Mayor, and congratulated
Mr. Bill Hufford on being unopposed for Seat 4. She stated she was very excited for him and
knew he would do a great job.
Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5:
• Congratulated Mr. Hufford on his election to Commission Seat 4 and stated she was very
excited to work with him on the Commission.
• Agreed with all the earlier comments about the success of the two community meetings
relating to the proposed Lakes District.
