CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 9, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 8 of 11 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Attorney recommended adoption of Ordinance 16 -1442 <br />on second reading. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy opened the public hearing relative to Ordinance 16 -1442. No one came <br />forward to address Ordinance 16 -1442. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance 16- <br />1442. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to adopt Ordinance 16 -1442 on second and final <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />A. Board Appointments — Police Officers' & Firefighters' Pension Board of Trustees. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Don Harkins to the Police <br />Officers' and Firefighters' Pension Board of Trustees, to fill the unexpired term <br />caused by the resignation of Mr. Bill Hufford, term effective to November 30, <br />2016. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hufford. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br />1. Mr. Larry Littrell, 124 North Lost Lake Lane, requested that the City Commission consider <br />rescheduling the upcoming City Commission Workshop relating to the Draft Multimodal <br />Transportation Master Plan from 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016, to a later time in the <br />day to accommodate interested citizens who would like to attend but would be unable to do so <br />during work hours. <br />2. Mr. Barry Dangler, 401 Kentia Road, spoke in opposition to the proposed Palm Drive Park, <br />and also expressed concerns about some of the redevelopment along the U. S. Highway 17 -92 <br />corridor. He urged the Commission to do abetter job to make Casselberry more appealing to <br />those driving through the City. <br />
