CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 9, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of 11 <br />E. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County(CALNO) Report <br />Vice Mayor Hufford advised she was out of town for the meeting on May 4, 2016, but Commissioner Solomon <br />had attended and would provide the report. Commissioner Solomon reported that there had not been a quorum <br />at the meeting, assumedly due to the very bad rainy weather, and no business had been conducted. <br />F. Seminole County Redevelopment Planning Agency Report <br />Commissioner Solomon reported that the Seminole County Redevelopment Planning Agency (RPA) had met <br />on Thursday, May 5, 2016 and there were two agenda items, the first relating to the 114 acre former Flea <br />World site. She advised that RPA had awarded $834,000 to demolish the buildings and assist with some of <br />the redevelopment which would include a mixed use development consisting of fifty townhomes, offices, parks <br />and apartments. She added that the plans looked beautiful and she felt it would be a great addition to the U.S. <br />Highway 17 -92 corridor. She stated that the area would really be booming with this development and the <br />planned move of the County's administrative offices to Five Points. She then advised that the second agenda <br />item was an update on the County's planned redevelopment in the Oxford Plaza area, including property <br />acquisitions. She added that expectations are that all the needed properties will have been bought and <br />construction will be begin within approximately a year. She stated that it had been a really good meeting and <br />that a lot of good things were happening along the U.S. 17 -92 and State Road 436 corridors. <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />11. Second Reading of Ordinance 16 -1442 — Amending City Code for Consistency with <br />the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Interlocal Agreement with Seminole <br />County <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 16 -1442 by title as follows; <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; AMENDING <br />THE CITY CODE FOR CONSISTENCY WITH THE FIRE AND EMERGENCY <br />MEDICAL SERVICES INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH SEMINOLE COUNTY <br />
