CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 9, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 of 11 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval of <br />Budget Amendment #16 -041. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote 5 -0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />In response to a question from Commissioner Meadows, Mr. Newlon advised that staff is continuing to work <br />on obtaining bids for resurfacing of the tennis courts at Secret Lake Park. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan ) Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported that the Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) had met on Thursday, May 5, 2016 <br />and the only thing of note was an announcement that the City of Casselberry would again be receiving the <br />Clean Air Award. Assistant Public Works Director /City Engineer Kelly Brock clarified that the City was <br />actually receiving an Honorable Mention for its use of warm mix asphalt technologies, which utilized less <br />energy and provided additional benefits, as well. Mayor Glancy thanked Dr. Brock for his efforts and <br />commended the Public Works Department for its continued pursuit of energy saving and clean air solutions. <br />C. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported that she had received an email from Leadership Seminole President Wayne Weinberg <br />with specific information relating to the homelessness update and report and had requested that Mr. Newlon <br />provide copies of the information to her fellow commissioners. She advised that the information contained in <br />the report would be presented to the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. <br />for the Board's consideration on whether to accept the findings. <br />D. Mayors /Managers Group Report <br />No report. <br />
